Review of Evil Defenders

Recently, there have been a lot of games where the player stands for evil. Such games have been popular for a long time, but they are not going to stop there. Just remember the cult Dungeon Keeper and its numerous clones, of which there are already plenty. But the same thing, even with minor changes, gets boring, and so experiments began. So, I became an experiment, so to speak, with evil – Evil Defenders.

Having felt the empty pockets, the peasants decided to rob the evil. Many different mobs will help in this difficult task. From lightly armed to heavily armored with spiked balls in their hands. And also druids, magicians, archers and many others. In general, a full-scale invasion of good into the territory of evil with the aim of profiting handsomely from yellow coins. Advance from green forests to the infernal mountain, in which you will stack little men trying to preserve wealth, like Golum’s ring.

Build turrets and wait for the next https://buckybingocasino.co.uk/bonus/ wave of big-lipped invaders. By the way, it’s strange that green-skinned orcs are on the side of evil, usually all sorts of ghouls or demons, although ghouls and even succubus are also present. Towers are upgraded three times, after which there is a choice between three variations, and so on with each. That adds up to a lot of options. Also, each location has its own goodies, both activated and requiring money, and passive. For example: a snowstorm that slows down enemies, but also clouds the construction site. That is, first you need to dig up and, understandably, spend coins. There are also three abilities that travel with you from level to level, which you have to use often. Summon a huge red-skinned demon, lightning bolt and teleport.

In normal difficulty you have 20 hearts and immediately figure out: well, twenty is normal. Yeah, no matter how. A peasant may eat one life, but then… I especially liked one mob that creates a bunch of fast balls, each of which eats a heart. With the help of souls, on which almost everything is based, you can improve the properties of towers and abilities. Souls are given for completing a location, but the higher the difficulty, the more souls. There are five levels, in addition to the test, where you have to withstand waves one after another with only one life. There will be more massive enemies as the difficulty increases.

If at first you play cheerfully and go through the first levels with three stars, and even on an increased difficulty, then in the middle it’s already good to have two, and then get at least one… In the end, the hardcore goes off scale and you stop understanding anything. Mobs come out of every crevice, guns simply don’t have time to destroy, and map abilities don’t pull out. This brings up the idea that the game is not balanced, or the developers didn’t even try to test the location. Although it’s not true. You just need to pump up all the guns (or at least more than half), by some inspiration, place the towers correctly and activate the bun in time. Well, then, it seems, everything should go like clockwork! But that’s not certain.
The soundtrack invigorates and caresses the ear throughout the entire game, changes the rhythm and frequency, does not get boring. The cartoon-style graphics are pleasing to the eye, and the animation, especially in accelerated form, is somehow similar to majesty.

The game doesn’t accomplish its main goal (okay, one of its main goals) – it doesn’t make you evil. You just don’t feel like you’re in the role of the lord of evil protecting treasures from nasty people. With the same success it was possible to put two warring factions – the same effect. The artificially extended passage time only puts pressure on the player and forces him to earn more and more souls in order to buy an improvement and conquer the next level. And even despite the pleasant visualization and performance, there is no attractiveness. The most that Evil Defenders can give is a few hours of dubious fun.

Typical tower defense gameplay, diluted with a cheerful soundtrack, cartoon graphics and pleasant design. But I don’t want to go back there.
