And what it looks like – Stranger Things
Hello again everyone, imelman is in touch! In a fairly short time, the Netflix streaming service has become the flagship of modern TV series production, each project of which becomes a hit among viewers and critics. The fantasy series “Stranger Things” even at the time of its announcement looked like a dark horse – the Duffer brothers, known only to a narrow circle of film fans, are at the helm, plus mediocre director Shawn Levy on back-up, starring the faded star Winona Ryder and not particularly impressive trailers. Did you manage to create something of high quality or did Netflix miss the mark?? Let’s find out.
And what it looks like – Stranger Things
Plot:The main action of the https://nokyccasinos.org.uk/ series takes place in the 80s in a quiet provincial town. The favorable course of local life is disrupted by the mysterious disappearance of a teenager named Will. The boy’s relatives and the local sheriff are determined to find out the circumstances of the case. Events also affect Will’s best friend, Mike. He begins his own investigation. Now Mike is sure that he is close to the solution, but to do this he will have to find himself in the midst of a fierce battle of otherworldly forces.
And this is how it looks: Let’s start with the main thing – if for you "The Thing", "Poltergeist", "The Goonies", "E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial" and "Star Trek" are not an empty set of sounds, then you have come to the right place. Surprisingly, the 2016 series looks with exactly the same sensations with which the listed films were once watched; the creators really caught the very spirit of the time and the series cannot be called “Eighties” except. “Stranger Things” is literally imbued with the spirit of the films of those years, and precisely in terms of atmosphere and plot. Honestly, at times I got the feeling that I was watching a TV series filmed exactly then, which led me into a real nostalgic delight, and you get the lion’s share of pleasure from an unreal number of quotes, references to films, games and music per square centimeter of screen time. But is it only thanks to the spirit of the eighties that the series is bursting with energy and creativity?? Not at all. For people not so steeped in love for the cinema of those years, here you will find everything that makes an adventure series truly worthwhile – friendship, love, mysticism, parallel worlds, people with supernatural abilities hi Alma, intrigue, a carefully calibrated balance between children’s and adult films and that same feeling when you simply cannot tear yourself away from the series precisely because you are wondering what will happen next.
This whole thing looks surprisingly cheerful. The series does not sag, it places the guns correctly and they shoot just as competently along the way, it does everything so that until the very last episode the viewer is involved in the action and does not want to miss even a second of what is happening on the screen. And here there is no point in talking about the technical part – everything was shot well, after all, Netflix, Shawn Levy completely jumped over his head, I thought that he was not capable of making anything other than comedies with Ben Stiller, but here it is on you, but it’s worth focusing on the actors. Winona Ryder, who has long disappeared from the radar, gives an unexpectedly talented performance and shows why she was once a big star; the mother, broken by the loss of her son, in her performance sparkles with madness and genuine emotions, which undoubtedly pleases. But the most important part of the acting cast is the children, because they are the main characters of this action. And it would seem, what complaints can there be about the acting of children, they are children, so you shouldn’t demand much from them. And this is where the beauty lies, because the children, despite the rather banal types they were given (the modest and geeky main character, the main character’s loyal best friend, the funny fat man who makes waves on everyone and every black person, and the girl broken by inhuman experiments who is learning the world again) manage to give texture to the characters and with the help of some little things they do everything to be remembered by the audience. The rest are simply not bad, but nothing more, and the fault here lies precisely with the same stereotypical characters they inherited.
To put it well, “Stranger Things” is rather not an independent series, but a small gift for those who once upon a time looked into the holes of “E.T. the Extraterrestrial” and hid under the covers in fear while watching “The Thing”, for those who still remember and love films from the distant eighties. Is it bad? No, by no means, because such things happen oh so rarely and therefore they need to be cherished and cherished. But unfortunately, the series lacks some kind of independence, something so that it is perceived as something more than just a beautifully made homage to the films of the eighties. Your feelings from watching it will depend entirely on your attitude towards that very classic. What am I? I watched all the episodes in one gulp and was satisfied, and I wish the same for you.
Well that’s all. imelman was with you, look only at quality things and see you again.
